oreimo or Ore no Imouto ga Konnani kawaii Wake ga Nai season 2 episode Thirteen

Episode Thirteen has ended, season two of Oreimo has finished.  I couldn’t have it any other way.  As for me, a storyteller, I found out about the whole reason for the siblings of not getting along.  A bigger surprise of was how one character of two season could be so hated after one episode (MANAMI).  To all Kirino haters, can you now give her a chance?   The back story is important to me, because it only made the development of each character stronger.  The reactions from the forums are mixed.  The people on the “know”…know that the three episodes that are coming in August would be exactly like the “true route.”  And, the rest.. well.. they hate the ending..   This episode was more of a teaser, a set up.. Some Oreimo fans as myself don’t really see this as season one or two, I see it as a big continuation.

The episode starts out how the siblings interacted with each other at a young age.  Here, Kyousuke is someone to be an amazing person and always coming up with solutions for any problem.  Kirino admired the acts of kindness and the problem solving which went a long way in her eyes.

Manami enters the fold, she was also around when they were young siblings.  Kyousuke began to get close with Manami.  Kirino, immediately got jealous of their relationship.  She also see’s changes in Kyousuke’s behavior of his daily life.  He’s less energetic, and doesn’t let Kirino tag along for the simple fact that he’d grew up.  Kyousuke also gives her difficult challenges to hang out with him.

Kirino begins her quest of becoming a fast runner, in a way to keep up with Kyousuke during his challenge to hang out with him.  Kyousuke starts to become a different person in front of Kirino, she finally confronts him.  Not liking what she hears,  she runs out.  She ends up meeting Manami by chance,  she shows Kirino a cruel side.  I know I’m not the only person that was shock by this behavior.  Kirino blames Manami for turning Kyousuke into a lazy person.

Kirino has found a reason to hate Manami’s guts.  This also turns out when she changes her attitude towards Kyousuke, the way it started in season one.  Manami lays out what maybe is the majority belief…. But, the way she does it is quite evil.

Kirino meets Ayase, and how Ayase began to hate otaku’s.   This is also where Kirino found the love for eroge games, especially little sisters eroge games and becomes an Otaku herself.  Everything start to turn when her brother begins to start paying attention to her.  How Kyousuke tries his hardest to make everything right in Kirino’s world, just like before.

The episode was a set up of what’s in store for the month of August.  I hear that Otakon is going to get the episodes before it airs in Japan?  Wish I lived close to where I can participate.  For all the people who hate this episode, or show, or going to drop it.  I’ll be seeing all of you in August because you’ll end up watching like the rest..  Why would they do it this way you ask?   There’s a build in audience which can generate more $$$$$ or….. to give the light novel some breathing room.
